Listen to Tuesday: 8tracks mixes

Do you love 8tracks? Of course you do. What's not to love about it? Mixes for just about every genre of music that you could possibly think of, and there's always a certain appeal about the word 'handcrafted' - which is exactly what 8tracks is.

It's no secret that I love internet radio. I think it's a brilliant way to discover new music, especially since I don't listen to regular radio a ton.

I'm one of those people who thinks life deserves a soundtrack - I kind of imagine a full orchestra behind me every time something epic happens. But that doesn't usually happen in real life, so I have to make do with film soundtracks.

Lately, I've been listening to the mixes by LaMusette, who has put together an absolutely brilliant series of seven mixes titled Storytime. Although they're tagged as study mixes, anything with film and instrumental soundtracks are all-around epic and there's guaranteed to be a film score for every emotion and occasion.

My latest favourite mix is Storytime: The Penultimate Chapter, which opens with 'Transformation' from Disney's Beauty and the Beast by Alan Menken. It help that Beauty and the Beast might be one of my favourite Disney films, but for me at least this is a mix that hits all the right spots.

It's packed full of sunshine-after-the-rain, which is my favourite type of music to listen to.

And after that, you might even want to top it all off with a good dose of happily-ever-after.

What are your favourite mixes to listen to?
