Hi everyone. I know I said I'd be trying to make videos about my adventures living in a different country, but one and a half weeks of trying to do that pretty much convinced me that doing that would be pretty much impossible because it's ridiculous trying to juggle a video-camera and a whole bunch of other things while you're travelling, plus the amount of shake on a camera is absurd when you're holding it and walking.
In advance, I apologise profusely.
So I have decided instead to start a travel blog to document my life here in the UK and any adventures that I may have (which I think will be plenty). I'm looking forward to this amazing time, travelling and living, and putting out there this amazing and brilliant world.
Oh, yes, I nearly forgot. My name is Cheryl Keit, and this is a picture of me.
I am twenty, going on twenty-one years old, and I come from a small island-city-country called Singapore. This is Singapore, as seen on a map you can find on Google:
So as you can see, it really is a very, very small country. We have Merlions and a delicious food called bak kut teh, which might just about be my favourite Singaporean food along with rojak.
Coming from Singapore, then, I come from a very tiny place in a very tiny part of the world. I am very excited to be in this part of the world and I have a lot to see. I have already been here in the UK for two and a half weeks and I have seen London, Edinburgh, Pitlochry, Loch Ness (no, I did not find Nessie), York, Manchester, Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick, and a few other towns and cities. If you would like me to do a retrospective blog on these cities, let me know and I will; if not, you're just going to have to stay tuned for my adventures yet-to-come.
I think that will be all for now. Stay tuned. :)
Cheryl Keit x
PS For those of you who know me from before, yes I am aware that at the point of publishing the colour theme of this blog is turquoise and orange. I swear it wasn't intentional. It just... Happened. Must be my subconscious.
